This anthology is the result of a session at the 2005 European Archaeological Association meeting in Cork, Ireland. The session was named "Liminal landscapes - beyond the concepts of 'marginality' and 'periphery'" and gathered 11 speakers and an audience of about 100 for fruitful discussions of different aspects of the theme "Liminal landscapes".
