This Ph.D. thesis describes the themes of acceptance of the East Polynesian Latter-day Saints (LDS). It is based on ethno-historical sources and on fieldwork in the North Island of New Zealand, the Hawaiian Islands and French Polynesia between 1993 and 1995.
